The Forgotten Generation
Join Steve on a journey of personal introspection and a project that created both powerful images and made a lasting impact on the lives of many. The Forgotten Generation came about because of one single ‘Eureka’ moment that turned into a quest to create portraits of senior citizens at St Anns Home in Dover NH. It resulted in a wonderful outpouring of thanks, coverage by newspapers and TV stations, an exhibit for the home and much more.
Steve entered six images from this project in PPA print competition, resulting in three Merit images and three Loan Collection images and two ‘98’s’ in regional judging. All images were taken with a camera, one lens, and a window.
See how this evolved, how the images were taken and how many photographers across the country joined Steve in documenting the elderly in their area. This is an uplifting program that will stay with you for many years.
