Biography

Madonna Lovett Repeta, M. Photog., A. C. Ph., has been a professional photographer since 1996. She lives in Bedford, New Hampshire, USA. She specializes in Portraiture from Baby-bump, Children, Family, Corporate Head Shots, High School Seniors and even Pets. In addition, she has an extensive line of Fine Art landscapes and botanicals. Madonna also offers Commercial & Real Estate photography. She is an award winning member of NHPPA, PPANE, PPA and ASP. She has earned a Kodak Award for Photographic Excellence and “Photographer of the Year” from PPA four times since joining in 2008. Madonna received her judges training at the PPA Judges Workshop. ! ! Madonna is a graduate of the University of Vermont, and holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education, pediatric dental hygiene and public health. She married a US Navy pilot and has used all of her degrees with their numerous relocations with the Navy. She was also an image consultant and corporate instructor for Beauty For All Seasons for over ten years. She applies the knowledge and experience she has acquired in her different careers in her photography. Locally, she is know as, “the baby/child whisperer” utilizing her pediatric and elementary ed experiences as well as being the oldest of six children. In addition, Madonna incorporates her experience as an image consultant in her photography studio every day. She can determine the best style and color of outfits for her clients to wear as well as background colors to naturally enhance her clients coloring. She is even trained on how to choose the best color and style of a man’s tie, as it should bring the viewers eye right up to his face and should therefore be the “correct” color. Madonna also has been trained in make-up application and colors. Color and Line for the Professional Photographer!

Master Photographer, Madonna Lovett Repeta incorporates her experience as an image consultant and corporate image trainer for over 10 years in her photography studio every day. She can determine the best style and color of outfits for her clients to wear as well as background colors to naturally enhance her clients coloring. Madonna also has been trained in make-up application and colors of make-up to complement each person’s individual coloring. Instead of adjusting skin tones in Photo Shop, learn how to look at your clients and make recommendations about what they should wear for their photo session to naturally enhance their skin tone. With the knowledge of color & skin tones, you can also make recommendations regarding make up colors and even hair colors. You will learn what color tie (for men), shirt/top and even suit color to recommend to your clients when doing an executive head shot. The color of a man’s tie or a woman’s necklace or scarf can bring the viewer’s eye up to the face and therefore it is important that it be in a complementary color to complement the client’s individual skin tone. This knowledge also comes into play when meeting with clients where you, as the photographer, want to look your best and professional. Color knowledge also should be considered when deciding on a backgrounds for your client’s photo session. Madonna will also discuss where horizontal lines of clothing should fall depending on each clients build & body type.

Part 2:
Using models from the class and ACI backgrounds, Madonna will demonstrate how to select backgrounds to complement the subject’s coloring and produce a harmonious image. She will also demonstrate how to select a background when you want your subject to stand out from the background.
