Coating Options

Clear, Semi-Matte, and Lustre Coating

Clear, Semi-Matte, and Lustre Coatings can be applied to any standard photo paper print. Clear Coating will give photos an extra sheen. Semi-Matte Coating will add a smooth and non-glare finish, and Lustre Coating will add a light sheen to the print making it a perfect balance between Clear and Matte.

Contour Brush Strokes

Contour Brush Strokes are a water based texture similar to Circular Brush Strokes, but instead of a circular motion these brush strokes are hand painted along the contours of the subject in your photo. This style of coating gives the print a hand painted look. Due to being hand applied, prints of the same image with this finish will not match exactly. Similar to Circular Brush Strokes, the print needs to be ordered mounted for Contour Brush Strokes to be applied.

Dry Mount is the standard mounting option and is perfect for framed prints. 8×10 and smaller prints will be mounted on double weight (1/16″) Dry Mount. 10×10, 11×14, and 10×20 prints will be mounted on triple weight (3/32″) Dry Mount, and prints 16×20 and larger will be mounted on Quad weight (1/8″) Dry Mount.

Our thickest mounting option, 1-1/2″ Standout Mounts will give any print lots of depth. Canvas on Masonite uses the same process as Canvas Only of putting the emulsion of a standard photographic print on canvas. However, Canvas on Masonite is mounted on Masonite for a sturdy surface while still maintaining the canvas texture.

Are all mounts available for all sizes?

Dry Mount & Sintra are for all the standard print sizes offered from 3.5×5 to 30×40. All other mounts are available in select sizes.

Does Dry Mount warp?

Dry Mount is a paper product susceptible to humidity, therefore has a tendency to warp. It is best to frame these prints immediately.

Are there print sizes that don’t work well with White Styrene?

Yes, due to the products flexibility, we would recommend to not use White Styrene on prints that are 16×20 or larger.

What can Leather Laminate be applied to?

Leather Laminate can be applied to E-Surface and Metallic Photo Paper prints.

Does the Leather Laminate need to be applied to a print that is on a mount board?

Yes, a mounting option must be selected before the Leather Laminate option will be available. For best results, Sintra is recommended.
